ULURU Wiki
by aran
Yesterday, the internal ULURU Wiki was officially taken in use. The ULURU Wiki is based on the well-known MediaWiki software and is available exclusively on the ULURU office intranet. It works just like Wikipedia and any other wiki: a huge web of articles with no formal structure. The great thing is that every Ulurian can edit and expand the content of the ULURU Wiki. This makes it a very organic and fluid source of information… perfect for ULURU! (more…)
Open Mac surgery

When I started working for ULURU earlier this year, I had never really worked with Apple Macs before. Sure, I’d checked my email on a friend’s IMac, but that was about it. ULURU however, is Mac only, so I was handed a sweet MacBook Pro and a nice Cinema Display “because you need that as a web developer” (I didn’t mention I’ve been programming just fine for years on a 15″ monitor) and was on my way to discover Mac territory. Barely half a year later and my job description has expanded to network administrator / support guy. Most of the people I’m supposed to help have more experience with a Mac than I have
The 7th of November Mick, Jen, Maarten en Sylvia were guests at a special evening organised by SBS Broadcasting. In the Factory in Amsterdam was the premiere of the 22nd James Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’. The movie was good, the after party great.
En route à Paris
by mickThe 4th of November Mick and Philippe went to Paris to visit the CARTES.
CARTES & Identification is the undisputed rendezvous which, this year, is bringing together some 500 exhibitors and 20 000 visitors. Contactless payment, mobility, content, convergence, standardization, data and transaction security, sustainable development …, are the focus of discussions at the trade show as well as at the congress. The evening of the 4th Mick and Philippe were quest at Gemalto’s Cocktail Party.
Next week we go to France again to visit the Gemalto headquarter.
Another great MoMo Amsterdam event yesterday afternoon! The quality of the speakers was high and they gave us quite some food for thought. The role of mobile in society was at the center of the discussions.
A remarkable afternoon ended with a remarkable Bruce Sterling climbing up the pulpit of the Rode Hoed and preaching us about the development of mobile technology: “As developers of mobile applications, you are living on a volcano and guess where the ashes will fall when it explodes?” (more…)
